At Māori Tours Kaikōura, we are currently working on an exciting new chapter for our cultural experiences.
Together with a select group of local partners, we are developing new ways for visitors to connect with the stories, landscapes, and people of Kaikōura through authentic Māori-led experiences.
As we focus on this development work, we are not taking tour bookings at this time. We look forward to sharing more information as these experiences evolve and become available.

Māui's Footprint
This tour is not available for new bookings from April 2026.
Where possible we will honour existing bookings.
Travel by mini coach to discover Kaikōura's rich Māori heritage through stories, landmarks and traditions. Visit sacred sites, learn about Māui's connection, explore a historic refuge, see ancient carvings and experience traditional flax weaving.
During the tour you will follow the path of Māui. Hear his stories in stone and sea, as you weave the threads of tradition into your own journey.
